A Ghost Who Loves the Movies

I’m a ghost who loves the movies;
I never miss a show –
I pour myself some popcorn
And sit in the front row.

I just adore the comedies,
And laugh the whole way through;
The last time I saw one of those
I laughed away my BOO.

I like to watch the dramas,
And musicals are fun;
But fall asleep in mushy flicks
The moment they’ve begun.

But mostly I prefer the films
That chill you to the bone –
The kind that leave you wishing
That you had not come alone.

It seems folks don’t appreciate
A movie-going shade;
They say I scare the crowds away
And make people afraid.

Though I’m as friendly as can be
And always say hello
To those who sit right next to me
Before they start the show.

I’m a ghost who loves the movies;
It’s my favorite place to be –
So the next time that you see one,
You might bump into me.
